Great game on Sat with a tight win against Hammersmith of 7 points to 5!!

Fantastic game with a very evenly matched side with a well worked try being scored by Hammersmith in the first half.

However, once we turned round at half time our forwards started to get on top and made many forward rushes giving good ball to our outsides with Roger working well at No 10 and nearly dumming all.

Steve jumped well in the lineout and the combination Len , Scotty , Rupert and Steve making great forward drives really inspired us all.

Mike Buckley took a pass from Roger and made a very impressive pass out to Jamie who then using speed and guile worked his way over for a try under the posts. Roger converted and that put the score to us at 7 to 5.

The last 10 minutes witnessed tremendous defence work by the whole team to maintain our lead and to claim a really great win.

It was good to see Tony come down to support us fresh from his hip opp only a few days earlier!!! He is being g re-built. Watch out for the web site and Swan photo board. Clarkie , with a bad bout of flue, also supported us on the touchline and that was great.
