Bulldogs 28 Soddam 7

What a great game on Sat against Soddam with a fine win of 28 to 7 points.

It was good to see Len back in the thick of the action driving on the forwards and Mark Patterson shoring up the front row as hooker, Mike Buckley had his first game at scrum half and he is obviously a "natural" for this position.

Dan played a great game at No 8 and we had good tackling and attacking play right from the time K.O. when Ross playing at full back made one of his well known runs through the opposition to bang down a try right under the posts. Stuart then crashed over for a second try and then Jamie made a blistering run down the wing and worked his way through the defenders to score a superb classic try

The opposition came back with one try in the second half but JT soon put paid to that one and ran in another try . Roger converted and we finished up with a good win of 28 to 7.

Everyone played a mammoth game and it was a good running open game with the outsides moving the ball around and the forwards driving through.

the opposition were very good at the rolling maul and this is something we will have to watch out for as we do tend to get caught aught on this move quite often.

On the touchline we had both Manager and coach in the shape of myself and Iron Man Tony Bianchi and notes were made!!

On the whole we can all say that it was a fantastic game played in very good spirits on both sides and a well earned pint or two back at The Swan to watch England v Italy.
